This project was created for the museum's new "Life at the Limits" exhibit.

The interactive animation demonstrated the feeding behavior of two "living fossils" of the Ituri Rainforest-the okapi and pangolin. It required fully articulated animals that would respond to the visitor's actions. The visitor's image would be projected into the scene where they could interact with the okapi and pangolin.

Actions included the okapi browsing from a branch held by the visitor with ears flicking, tail swishing and foot stamping.

The pangolin would approach a termite mound, claw at it and devour the termites that emerged. If approached by the visitor the pangolin would roll up into a protective ball.
